学 院 所 提 供 的 课 程 及 教 学 的 方 式 又不 能 满 足 自 己 的 需 求 。在 本 世 纪, 终 身 学 习 是 扮 演 着 重 要 的 角 色, 非 传 统 的 学 习 方 法 也 逐 渐 兴 起 及 被 许 多 人 接 受;这 种 学 习 方 式, 不 会 影 响 商 务 人 员 的 日 常 业 务 。 其 实,商 务 经 营 知 识 是 一 门 软 科 学, 教 授 的 知 识 及 经 验 要 比 硬 体 重 要 。 我 自 从 大 学 退 休 后,自 认 可 以 在 这 方 面 扮 演 个 有 义 意 的 角 色 。 因 此,招 揽 了 一 批 很 有 经 验 的 专 业 人 士, 教 授 这 方 面 的 课 程 。 相 信 通 过 有 计 划 的 传 授 方 法, 学 员 们 会 学 以 致 用, 他 们 将 会 很 有 效 的 学 习 到 一 些 实 用 的 经 营 知 识 及 策 略, 提 高 他 们 面 对 全 球 化 的 竞 争 与 挑 战 。

The birth of Internet has created a great impact for people who wish to pursue knowledge during their journeys of life. At the turn of the 21st century, it is noticed that emergence of new knowledge and technologies is at a very fast rate. To face the challenge during this millennium, businessmen have to update their skills and strategies to increase their competitive advantages so that development and progress can be achieved further.

Even though many successful businessmen in Malaysia have noticed the challenge, some potential and aggressive ones, have taken this good opportunity to extend their business internationally rather than just confining themselves to local markets. Consequently, upgrading the business skills and knowledge to face global challenges is very essential. Nevertheless, they notice that it is very difficult for them to attend normal business management courses conducted by traditional institutes because of the time factor and the traditional style of teaching. Since the lifelong learning has played an important role in learning, the non-traditional learning system has emerged to be a very popular approach for many people, especially for those who wish to pursue knowledge without affecting their daily business. To meet this demand, we have developed some useful classes that are conducted during weekends instead of weekdays. As we understand that business management knowledge is a soft science subject, knowledge and experience of faculty mentors are more important than facilities. Being a retired professor from a national university, I specially plan a training program to meet this demand. Hence, a group of experienced lecturers are recruited so that the pragmatic and useful knowledge can be imparted to these mature students. We are confident that students after going through the course will be able to build up the confidence to face the challenge of globalization. We also believe that our lecturers and contents of the courses can meet the demand and expectation of our students. In addition, we can also provide a platform for students to share their problems and experiences encountered in their businesses during the studies.
